Good Afternoon and welcome to the 'Weekend Winners' Open Discussion Meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous. My name is Marc and I am Alcoholic.

We'll open with a Serenity Prayer which helps me deal with NewComers who don't pay attention during meetings and keep pissing and moaning about not being able to stay sober.

God, Grant me the Serenity to accept the things I can not change,
the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to hide the dead bodies of those people I had to kill because they pissed me off.

And now here is My Itty Bitty DrunkALog:

I had my First Drink at age 14. Even then 1 was not enough so I had a few beers.
As you may well imagine I got the spins and puked.
But hey, I had so much fun that a bit of puke was no big deal and a small price to pay.
Later on in life, though, I found myself returning to Alcohol more frequently and gradually switched to liquor(Rum, Vodka and Whiskey).
My drinking was usually excessive and often into oblivion(BlackOut).
In my thirties I had become Alcohol's prisoner and was unaware of my predicament(Powerlessness). I drank and I drank even when I did not really want to drink. I had no idea why and I could not stop. I tried going back to beer but all that did was make me piss alot and I couldn't get a decent Buzz.
I was a Rum, Vodka and Whiskey kind of guy and proud of it(Insane thinking).

Since this is a beginners meeting, the topic of discussion will be: Building a Solid Foundation around the First Three Steps. Feel free to share your thoughts on this subject:
